Direct Investments
Any investment not made through a regional center — such as creating your own company, buying an existing one, or investing in an active business.
Direct investments require more hands-on involvement and active management of the enterprise, with only direct jobs counting toward the requirement.

Qualifying Investment
Invest at least $1,050,000 into a new commercial enterprise in the United States — or $800,000 if the project is in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA) or through an approved Regional Center.
A TEA is a region with high unemployment or a rural area without adequate employment opportunities.

Job Creation
Demonstrate that your investment will create at least 10 full-time jobs for qualifying U.S. workers within two years of receiving conditional permanent resident status.
Jobs may be direct, indirect, or induced — and must be sustained long enough to remove conditions on your residency.
